Year-Over-Year Growth in Exhibit Space and Exhibiting Companies Outpaces National Average. Top Venue Ranking of Las Vegas and Orlando Validates DEMA Show Rotation

The Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA)'s annual tradeshow, DEMA Show, is ranked among the 200 largest tradeshows in the U.S. according to the recently released Tradeshow Week 200 list. It is the only dive industry show to appear in the ranking, listed alongside such well-known events as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Trade Show for the construction industry.

The Tradeshow Week 200 list is published annually each April, ranking trade shows across various industries by net square feet of paid exhibit space. Average annual show growth indices indicate growth over last year of more than 2% in net square footage, and exhibiting companies. By comparison, DEMA Show has experienced more than 4.5% growth in net square feet of space and nearly 4% growth in exhibiting companies year-over-year, beating out the national average across industries by a significant margin.

Further, the Tradeshow Week 200 list states that Las Vegas continues to be the #1 destination for North America's largest tradeshows followed by Orlando in the #2 spot. Not coincidentally, these are the same two locations that DEMA members have selected to host DEMA Show on a rotating basis through 2010.

"Inclusion on this list and among such prestigious tradeshows further establishes DEMA Show as not only a leader within the dive industry but across multiple industries," said Tom Ingram, Executive Director of DEMA. "The DEMA Show’s size and growth continue to bring maximum benefits to members, who can interact with more relevant industry contacts here than anywhere else, learn more in one location from multiple sources, and develop the relationships that can help make their own businesses successful. Further, the Show's importance can only be enhanced by DEMA's Be A Diver campaign, which is designed to attract new divers and re-activate previously certified but inactive divers. This program helps grow the industry, which in turn helps to grow the Show."

For more than 35 years, Tradeshow Week has been the premiere weekly news magazine serving the exhibition industry. It is owned by Reed Business Information, the largest business-to-business publisher in the U.S. and a member of the Reed Elsevier Group plc (NUSE: RUK and ENL), a world-leading publisher and information provider.

DEMA Show 2008 will take place October 22-25, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV.
