Six-gill shark caught off the French Riviera

Very much to his surprise fisherman Jean-Marc Magliona caught huge sixgill shark - 3.40 m long and weighing 270 kg.

"It took me the whole morning to haul it to the surface. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what beast had taken my hook" he explained. It is rare that these sharks reached such dimensions.
