The New York City Sea Gypsies September meeting: Beneath the Garden State
See the beauty of the one-half-inch long naked sea butterfly or the fascinating blue shark, sandbar shark and sand tiger shark. Watch a goosefish (monkfish) devour a black sea bass or see a sea star growing new arms. The subjects are familiar and not-so familiar. Visit New Jersey’s artificial reefs made of army tanks, tug boats and large ships and see what a shipwreck looks like underwater. You will experience personal accounts of Herb Segars’ thirty years of scuba diving and photographing in New Jersey. Whether you are a fisherman, scuba diver, surfer, beach lover, environmentalist or just someone who loves the ocean, this presentation is for you.
