Florida shipwrecks on the web

“Museums in the Sea” project is an great online resource on Florida’s 11 Underwater Archaeological Preserves. Choose a shipwreck, take a guided underwater tour of the site, watch a narrated history of the vessel, and observe the marine life that lives in the wreckage.

Each section of the “Museums in the Sea” Web site has photographs and text to accompany the videos, and visitors may download and print the Underwater Preserve brochures and underwater guides.

The QuickTime movies will give you an idea about the dive. The download- and printable dive guides in PDF are great for planning your dive, with detailed drawings of the wreck site and good descriptions of the wrecks and the marine life on site.

This is the easy way, and maybe not for them who which to explore the unknown, but on other you get to learn about the wrecks. for many diving on a wreck is even more fascinating when you know a little bit about how it got there and who was on board.
