This high-end, jacket-style BC incorporates Aqua Lung’s latest features; patented i3 technology, a streamlined integrated inflation and deflation system that allows divers to simply and intuitively control their buoyancy, and the new patent-pending Wrapture™ Harness System.

Similar to the triloader system in the Balance and Libra BC’s, the Wrapture™ completely supports the weight of the tank with an innovative wrap-around backpack. This keeps the cylinder closely secured to a diver’s center of gravity – the back – and efficiently distributes its weight to provide superior stability. The Wrapture™ system works in conjunction with Aqua Lung’s patented shoulder swivel buckles to prevent the BC from riding up while making the tank feel lighter.

Experienced divers will also benefit from the new GripLock™ tank band and buckle system which makes it easier-than-ever to change out cylinders. The GripLock system is comprised of a stainless steel lock that easily opens to switch cylinders and provides multiple adjustable sizing settings:

Macro Setting: Encompasses pre-set demarcations to accurately adjust to all cylinder sizes, taking the guess work out of strapping in a new tank.

Micro Setting: An accessory setting to fine-tune a loose fitting attachment without having to start from scratch.

The GripLock system introduces the patent-pending Finger Saver feature, which does away with complicated web weaving. The Finger Saver stops the buckle from closing before pulling a hand away – preventing painful, pinched fingers. Once fingers are out of the way, users can simply slap the clasp down with a hand to lock the buckle in place.

The Axiom i3’s weight-integration systems utilize Aqua Lung’s patented SureLock II TM weight system, which provides a single pull release and allows divers to easily insert and lock weights into place using a specialized rail system.

Other features include a scooped octo-pocket that’s easily accessible and keeps the octopus out of the sand, a small security pocket within a larger pull-down pocket that provides plenty of room to store valuables and accessories, a convenient pull-down oral inflator, five stainless steel and two plastic D-rings and knife attachment points.

The new Axiom i3 comes in black, charcoal, and navy, and is available for seven sizes, XS to XXL.
